PADICTON Project Paper added to IOP Conference Series

Mon, 21 February, 2022

We are thrilled to announce that a PADICTON project conference paper was published last week in the IOP Conference series: Materials Science and Engineering.

The paper can be found here: http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1757-899X/1226/1/012003.

The PADICTON project aims to develop a tool capable of accurately and rapidly predicting and correcting distortions in additive manufacturing (AM), offering improved quality for the produced parts and minimising rejection rates.

Creating this tool requires conducting a comprehensive mechanical and thermal characterisation campaign to optimise the print parameters and part geometry.

The aforementioned paper was produced with close collaboration between 目前最好的足彩app’s advanced composites and adhesives section and Brunel Composites Centre with support from the consortium partners FDM Digital Solutions, e-Xstream Engineering, part of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, AMendate as well as the project topic manager, Airbus.

The paper describes the concept of the project and the findings of the initial mechanical and optical characterisation tests for two AM processes, namely fused deposition modelling and selective laser sintering.

You can find put more about PADICTON on the project’s website (http://www.padictonproject.eu/) or follow the progress of the activities on LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/in/padicton-project/).

The PADICTON project has received funding from the Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 864819.
